Heritage: Chilean
Color: Medium Brown
Status: Proven
Dam: QAI1 Anni Import 098
Sire: QAI Ignacio Import098
Jamaica is 9 years old. She is a beautiful deep reddish brown, and is a sweet gentle girl. She is the 1st one that everyone who comes to our farm comments on. She has a very stylish topknot which gives her face a very engaging look! She's a small alpaca and was attacked by dogs years ago at which time she lost 2 teats. She has since successfully nursed cria and doesn't appear to have any residual fear of dogs.
In 2010 Jamaica gave birth to a gorgeous bay black cria. Little Mitch was sold in the summer of 2011 but I’m still enjoying working with his last year’s fleece.

Heritage: Peruvian & Chilean
Color: White
Status: Female Cria
Dam: Hadassah
Sire: Harvest Moon Cassidy’s Shadow
Lily was born on September 7, 2008 to Hadassah and Shadow. She was standing in 30 minutes, and nursing within 1 hour and 10 minutes of birth. She is vigorous, strong and full of spunk. Lilly loves to prong around. She is white and fawn and has big black eyes! She is mostly white with light ‘Salmon’ fawn running along her back, down the outside of both hind legs, on her ears, and the darkest color on her tail. When her fiber is spun up it is a beautiful light fawn, almost oatmeal. She is a sweet & frienldy alpaca.

Lily’s fawn color has developed nicely along her back. Her fleece has great crimp, luster and handle and her temperament couldn’t be sweeter.

Heritage: Peruvian & Chilean
Color: Medium Brown
Status: Female Cria
Dam: PPPeruvian Rhiannon 5086

Porsche was named after another sports car. She looks exactly like her older sister, Carmen. Porsche is vigorous, strong, and was up and nursing within 45 minutes. Over the years her presence has become almost like royalty- (or so she seems to think)- hence her nickname “Princess”! Porsche’s fleece is every bit as nice as Carmens with the softest handle imaginable.

Porsche has grown into a gorgeous 3 year old.

Autumn

ARI# 848183
Heritage: Peruvian & Chilean
Color: White + Medium Brown
Status: Proven
Dam: NWF Starlight
Sire: NC Jean-Guy
Autumn is 9 years old and is a very sweet girl. She was bred to a well known gray, and her first cria had blue eyes. That inspired me to study, and I quickly learned that breeding patterned alpacas to each other can result in blue eyed alpacas. She is a wonderful and devoted mother.
Autumn has incredible fiber, and at last count was still under 18 microns! I love to have her white and brown blanket fiber mixed. The resulting yarn is a beautiful, soft, heathery rosy brown.
In 2010 Autumn gave birth to a beautiful black cria who is spotted with white and has the most lustrous fleece imaginable.
Autumn is the guardian of the herd keeping a watchful eye over everyone.

Rhiann is a regal sixteen-year-old, and she is the matriarch of our huacaya herd. She is an import that produces gorgeous crias. Rhiannon is in great shape and you would never guess her age. Rhiannon gave birth on August 20, 2008 to a beautiful medium reddish/brown female. You can tell that Porsche is a full sister to Rhiannon’s 2007 cria, Carmen. Rhiannon is an experienced and devoted mother. One look at her 2007 & 2008 cria prove Rhiannon’s worth as a breeder. She may be getting older, but still has the vitality and genes to produce excellent crias.

Dominica is a lovely 8 year old medium silver gray (and she does have a head somewhere!). She is 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian. She has had three crias and proven herself to be a wonderful mom. Mochacchino, her 2007 cria, hit the ground in early July. We feel lucky to have Dominica as she is willing to nurse her own cria and any that need extra nutrition. Her 2009 cria (featured below) arrived in August 2009! Beautiful & full of spunk Shadow’s Cassidy! She looks like she has taken on Shadow’s strong characteristics including an incredible brown fleece!

Heritage: Peruvian & Chilean
Color: Medium Brown
Status: Maiden
Dam: PPPeruvian Rhiannon 5086
Sire: Harvest Moon Cassidy’s Shadow
Carmen was named after the sports car Karman Ghia. She is Rhiannon and Shadow’s 2007 cria. From day one she was racing around the paddock and things haven’t really changed! Carmen’s fleece is superb! We’ve had her fiber processed into yarn the last few years and it is always a favorite. The coverage is obvious from her pictures, and is from nose to toes. She appears to have inherited not only her father’s color, but also the great fiber quality from her grandsires Silversmith and Augusto.

Carmen is now a beautiful 4 year old.
Libby
DOB: 8/15/06
ARI# 31804806
Heritage: Peruvian & Chilean
Color: Bay Black with Gray, White + Brown spots
Status: Proven
Dam: NWF Missty
Sire: The Silver Baron
Libby was orphaned as a young cria, and she had to be bottle-fed. However, as you can see she has done very well. A number of the older females adopted her, and made sure she had the alpaca TLC that she needed. She lived in the barn and pasture with the rest of the females and crias, and the bottle was taken out to her. Although she would come running when she saw the bottle, or you called Libby, Libby, she knew that she was an alpaca and understood the importance of the herd. She is now a large robust 5 yr old.
Libby is a fascinating color. She might be a base Bay Black, but has many spots and mottling throughout her coat: gray, red, white. Her fleece felts wonderfully and also spins up into a beautiful yarn. Libby gave birth to a vigorous male cria in the fall of 2010. He’ll be leaving soon and taking with him his gorgeous fleece!
